On October 25th, 2022, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents, with the assistance of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, concluded an investigation into the sale and delivery of narcotics by Victor Bernabe Lemus Diaz (20). Diaz has been linked to a string of overdoses that occurred in Lee County.
While serving arrest warrants at the McDonald’s on Spring Lane in Sanford, agents located a trafficking amount of opioids in Diaz’s possession.
Diaz was arrested and charged with Trafficking Opioid by Transport, Trafficking Opioid by Possession, four counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule Cocaine, four counts of Sell and Deliver Cocaine, four counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone), one count of Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone).
Diaz was brought before the Lee County Magistrate who issued a $410,000 Secured Bond.
