Man Arrested During Traffic Stop for Crack Cocaine

On Tuesday February 15, 2022, at approximately 1:56 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents were conducting proactive enforcement and surveillance at hotels on North Horner Boulevard. During the investigation, agents conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima operated by Alvis Lewis Snipes (60) at the Circle K located at 1130 N Horner Boulevard. During the course of the traffic stop, a K9 was deployed for a sniff of the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, agents located approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale in a bag in the back-seat floorboard. Snipes was arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, Resisting Public Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and issued a $10,000 Secured Bond.
