Suspect Arrested Following Drive-by Shooting

8/26/2021         Lee County Sheriff’s Office was called to 99 Sabre Dr in reference to a drive by shooting where a 72 year old man was struck and injured. The victim was transported to UNC with serious injuries.  Detectives have arrested and charged Bryan Gopar (18) of 2707 Pine Acres Dr. Sanford NC with discharging a weapon into occupied property, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, 2 counts of felony conspiracy and possessing a stolen weapon.

Gopar is being held under no bond.
