Suspect Arrested After Pursuit into Chatham County

6/30/2021 @ 11:00 PM Lee County Sheriff Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on South Plank Rd. after hearing gunshots coming from the vehicle. After the deputy initiated a vehicle stop the vehicle refused to stop and officers gave chase. The chase ended in Chatham County and the driver was apprehended after he jumped and ran from the vehicle.

Justin Makario Jackson (22) of 320 Saddlebrook Dr. Sanford was arrested and charged with felony speeding to elude arrest, failing to stop for blue lights and siren, careless and reckless driving, driving left of center, resisting officers and simple possession of marijuana. He was held under $20,000 secured bond.
