On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at approximately 9:30 pm Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents were patrolling and working drug complaints received by concerned citizens. Agents observed a dark silver in color four door Chevrolet Silverado leaving a residence located on Johnson Cemetery Road. Agents are familiar with the residence and its occupants and this vehicle stood out as it was unfamiliar to the area. Agents began surveilling the vehicle and in the process the operator of the vehicle committed several traffic violations. Agents conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Blacks Chapel Road. After a short interview of the operator and occupants, agents discovered that two of the three occupants were in possession of a controlled substance. Suzanne Robyn Halverson, age 27, of 30080 County Road, Brush, Colorado, the front passenger, was found to be in possession of one gram of crystal methamphetamine. Richard Edward Oliver Jr., age 41, of 132 Oliver Road, Cameron, NC, was found in possession of one tenth of a gram of heroin. Both Halverson and Oliver were arrested and transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Halverson is charged with one count of felony possession of crystal methamphetamine, and one count of drug paraphernalia, and held on a $5,000.00 secured bond. Oliver is charged with one count of felony possession of heroin, and one count of drug paraphernalia, and held on a $5,000.00.
