On Tuesday June 6th, 2021, Lee County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies uncovered a large scale grow operation in the process of warrant service. Deputies were at the residence listed on the warrant, located at 3730 Lower Moncure Road, attempting to serve an arrest warrant on an individual by the name of Shaun Lowery for cyberstalking. Deputies were unsuccessful in locating Lowery, but while on scene deputies detected an overwhelmingly strong odor of marijuana emitting from the residence. Deputies contacted Narcotics agents to assist and upon the Agents arrival it was confirmed that the strong odor in fact could be detected in the driveway area. Narcotics agents applied for and secured a search warrant for the property and recovered approximately 145 pounds of marijuana from the residence and property. The marijuana seized from this investigation was processed and packaged in several forms. In the home agents recovered numerous vacuumed sealed packages of marijuana, in approximately one pound packages, edibles packaged for sale, and converted marijuana plant material into liquid THC form and packaged it into vape cartridges. The estimated street value of the seized Marijuana is $349,728.00
