Traffic Stop Nets Arrest, Drugs and Stolen Firearm

On May 8th, 2023, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents arrested Adonijah McLain (20) of Sanford during a traffic stop conducted on NC 87. 

McLain was found to be in possession of a concealed firearm which was reported stolen out of Harnett County, as well as Oxycodone, a Schedule II Controlled Substance. 

McLain also had an order for arrest for failure to appear on a prior Carrying Concealed Gun charge. McLain was charged with Possession of Stolen Firearm, Carrying Concealed Gun, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

McLain was brought before the Lee County Magistrate, who issued a $30,000 Secured Bond.
