On Wednesday May 18, 2022, Lee County Sheriff’s Office placed Steven Trent Goins into custody during a driver’s license checkpoint. Mr. Goins was operating a stolen motorcycle and was found in possession of 103 grams of Fentanyl, 13 grams of Methamphetamine, and a small amount of Marijuana. Mr. Goins also was in possession of 3 concealed firearms.
Goins was charged with Trafficking Opium or Heroin by Possession, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine, Possess with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Carrying Concealed Gun, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Goins was also cited for No Motorcycle Endorsement. Goins was brought before the magistrate, who issued a $150,000 Secured Bond.
