Search Warrant Executed; Heroin, Fentanyl and Cocaine Seized

On Wednesday August 11^th, 2021, at approximately 9:00pm Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents executed a search warrant on the property located at 208 Register Street, Sanford. Upon entry and during the course of the search of the residence, agents located a Hispanic male subject hiding in the attic. The Hispanic male subject identified himself as Javiel Gomez Segura, age 41, of 208 Register Street, Sanford. During the course of the search of the residence agents located 680 grams of heroin/fentanyl, and 1000 grams of cocaine, hidden in the air conditioning ducting and in underneath the insulation in the attic space. Agents transported Javiel Gomez Segura to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Agents processed Gomez Segura on one count of trafficking heroin/fentanyl by possession, one count of trafficking heroin/fentanyl with the intent to sell and deliver, one count of trafficking cocaine by possession, one count of trafficking cocaine with intent to sell and deliver, one count of felony maintaining a dwelling place for the storage and sales of an illegal controlled substance, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Javiel Gomez Segura is jailed under a $300,000.00 secured bond.
