Motorcyclist Arrested For Drugs & Warrant During Traffic Stop

On Thursday, July 22, 2021 Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents initiated a traffic stop of an individual operating a motorcycle without a registration plate, in the 900 block of Frank Wicker Road. The operator was checked for warrants and had one outstanding unserved warrant from Harnett County for assault on a female. Agents placed James Moore Jr. in custody. A search of Moore’s belongings revealed Moore was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and numerous items of paraphernalia. 

Moore was transported to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office where Moore was processed. Agents charged Moore with one count of felony possession of methamphetamine, one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and one misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Moore was given no bond for the assault on a female and $5000.00 secured bond for the drug related Lee County charges.
