Maryland Woman Charged with Obstructing Justice

Diamond Jade Smith (21) of 10 Richmond St., Hagerstown MD was arrested and charged for felony obstructing justice, resist and delay officers and filing a false report to law enforcement. These charges stem from Smith reporting the morning of 10/10/2021 her 8-month-old child had been taken 4 days prior by her ex-boyfriend from 2 Tim Ln. Sanford. Smith reported the ex-boyfriend was not the child’s father and would not return the child.  Smith also reported the child needed daily medical attention. The investigation revealed the child was with its biological father, Smith knew the child’s location and was not in danger. Smith had knowledge of this at the time she filed the report. Smith was held under $10,000 secured bond.
