Repairman Calls 911 After Finding Two Adults Unconscious

On Friday August 20th, 2021, at approximately 3pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Office uniform deputies responded to an apartment located at 2417 Jefferson Davis Highway. The initial call was from an air condition repair man, who called 911 explaining that he had knocked on the door of the apartment and was greeted by a young juvenile. The repair man saw a male and female subject unconscious in the apartment. Deputies arrived to find a female subject unconscious on the floor and discovered a unconscious male subject on the couch. Deputies administered NARCAN to both subjects and called for available narcotics agents for assistance.
The female was identified as Heather Paige Dostroph, age 32, of 2417 Jefferson Davis Highway, Sanford, and Eddie Michael Bird, age 41, of 6831 Jefferson Davis Highway, Sanford.

Dostroph was transported to Central Carolina Hospital for further treatment and Bird refused treatment and was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Agents executed a search warrant on the property located at 2417 Jefferson Davis Highway. Agents located and seized approximately 2 grams of fentanyl, and 6 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Once back at the Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents processed Bird for the outstanding along with one felony count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver a schedule one substance “heroin/fentanyl, one count of felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver a schedule two substance “crystal meth”, one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of misdemeanor child abuse. Bird was jailed under a $11,500.00 bond. 

At approximately 9pm, Friday, August 20, 2021, Heather Paige Dostroph was released from Central Carolina Hospital. Agents picked up Dostroph and transported her to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. Heather Paige Dostroph was charged with one count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver heroin/fentanyl, one count of felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver crystal methamphetamine, one count of felony maintaining a dwelling for the storage and sells of an illegal controlled substance, one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of misdemeanor child abuse. Dostroph is jailed under a $11,500.00 secured bond.
