On Tuesday at approximately 11am July 6, 2021, Lee County Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents arrested Billy Joe Hodge Jr., age 49, of 593 Lloyd Stewart Road, Broadway, NC 27505. Agents observed Hodge operating a motor vehicle on Main Street in Broadway and knew Hodge didn’t have a valid operator’s license. Hodge was cited for operating a motor vehicle without an operator’s license. In the course of the stop agents discovered Hodge was in possession of approximately 1.5 grams of heroin. Agents transported Hodge to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Hodge was processed and charged with one count of felony possession of heroin, and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Billy Joe Hodge Jr. was released on a $5,000.00 unsecured bond.
